Last Updated: 29.10.2026

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website. By using our website, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Eco Trades South West Ltd, trading as Eco Trades ("we", "us", "our"). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 08208042. Our registered office is 224 Torquay Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 2HN. Our VAT number is 171865584.

You can contact us by telephone on 01803 393530 or by email at sales@eco-trades.co.uk.

2. Other terms that apply

These terms govern your use of this website only. The following also apply:

  • Our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use any personal information you give us.
  • Our Cookies Policy, which explains how we use cookies on this website.

Any installation, product or service you buy from us is covered by the separate written quotation and terms of business we provide at the time. Those terms will apply to that work, not these website terms.

3. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Please check this page each time you use our website, as the version in force at that time will apply.

4. Changes to our website

We may update and change our website from time to time to reflect changes to our services, government schemes, regulations and our business. We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw all or any part of our website for business or operational reasons.

5. Information on this website

The content on our website is provided for general information only. It is not intended to be advice on which you should rely, and it does not take account of your property or personal circumstances. We will always carry out a survey or assessment before recommending any system.

Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website up to date, we make no guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current. In particular:

  • Government schemes, grants and funding: details of schemes such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, eligibility rules and grant amounts are set by government and third parties and can change or close at short notice. Eligibility is not guaranteed and will be confirmed on an individual basis.
  • Savings and performance figures: any figures for energy savings, bill reductions, generation, efficiency or payback periods are estimates only. Actual results depend on your property, usage, weather, energy prices and other factors outside our control.
  • Prices and offers: any prices or offers shown are a guide only, may be withdrawn or changed at any time, and are subject to survey and availability.
  • Images: photographs and illustrations are for guidance only and products supplied may differ in appearance.

6. Enquiries and quotations

Submitting an enquiry or quote request through our website does not create a contract between you and us. A contract is only formed when you accept a written quotation from us and we confirm acceptance. Any quotation we give is subject to a site survey and to the terms set out in it.

If you are a consumer and enter into a contract with us away from our business premises or at a distance, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Full details will be set out in your quotation and terms of business.

7. Using our website

You agree that you will not:

  • use our website in any way that breaks any applicable local, national or international law or regulation, or for any fraudulent purpose;
  • submit false, misleading or malicious information through any form on our website;
  • knowingly introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, the server on which it is stored or any server, computer or database connected to it;
  • attack our website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.

Breaching this section may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and cooperate with them, including by disclosing your identity to them.

8. Intellectual property

We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website and the material published on it, including text, images, logos, graphics and design. These works are protected by copyright and other laws. All such rights are reserved.

You may view and print pages from our website for your own personal reference. You must not copy, reproduce, modify or use any part of our website for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Logos of accreditation bodies and manufacturers shown on our website belong to their respective owners.

9. Reviews and content you submit

If you send us a review, testimonial, photograph or other content, you confirm that it is accurate, genuinely reflects your experience and does not infringe anyone else's rights. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish it on our website and marketing materials. We may edit content for length or remove it at our discretion, but we will not alter the meaning of a review. Where we show reviews from third-party platforms, those platforms' own terms also apply.

Our website contains links to other websites and resources provided by third parties, such as government scheme pages, manufacturers and accreditation bodies. These links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the content of those websites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

11. Our responsibility for loss or damage

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer: we only provide our website for domestic and private use. You agree not to use it for any commercial or business purpose, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you are a business user: to the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our website or any content on it. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with use of, or inability to use, our website, or use of or reliance on any content displayed on it. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

12. Viruses

We do not guarantee that our website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology to access our website and should use your own virus protection software.

13. Your personal information

We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

14. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our website or our services, please contact us using the details in section 1 and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also be able to refer your complaint to the relevant accreditation or scheme body for the work carried out.

15. Governing law

If you are a consumer, these terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you live in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the law of England and Wales, and we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you, that will not mean you do not have to do those things and will not prevent us from taking steps against you at a later date.
